From overworked to thriving: How Mentorship transformed one business
In 2011, Debbie Whitaker founded Not Just Numbers, a digital accounting practice with the goal of providing clients with a seamless virtual finance department. But as the business grew, so did the challenges. Without guidance, Debbie found herself overworked, undervaluing her services, and stretched too thin.
The turning point came in 2014 when she contacted me and sought mentorship, we had connected through a networking group and I was front of mind after sending her congratulations for her third birthday. We discussed the challenges and how we could tackle them, and started our 10+ year journey together. We tackled critical business hurdles: pricing strategies, client management, team growth and repositioning her offering to attract better clients.
